Broussard Iron Works was awarded the prestigious Louisiana 2000 Lantern award for manufacturer of the year. The Department of Economic Development awards this honor to outstanding manufacturers that have contributed to the economic development both in their community and throughout Louisiana.

Because of this ability, Broussard Iron Works has assisted businesses, organizations and governmental entities in such areas as; new business start-up; non-profit start-up; governmental projects involving infrastructure assessments and leadership training.

Broussard Iron Works has been providing quality jobs in Vermilion Parish for more than 26 years. Gerald Broussard, President of Broussard Iron Works, brought the first JTPA program to Vermilion Parish assisting the youths of Vermilion Parish with an opportunity for self-improvement and job experience. Over time the citizens of Vermilion Parish have learned to associate knowledge, integrity and loyalty with Gerald Broussard and Broussard Iron Works.
